About the Examination

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) conducts the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) to recruit candidates for prestigious BS-17 posts in various departments of the Punjab Government. This advertisement invites applications for three key services under Group “A” of the Provincial Civil Service.

 Qualification

• Minimum Requirement: Graduate Degree (Second Division) from a recognized university.

 Age Limit

• General: 21 to 30 years as of 1st January 2026.

• Age Relaxation:

  • Government Servants: Upper age limit of 35 years for Punjab/Federal Government employees with 4+ years of service.

  • Special Persons: Maximum relaxation of 15 years as per Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment Rules, 1976.

• Cut-off Date: Age will be determined as of 1st January 2026.

  Note: Age and sex of transgender candidates will be determined as per CNIC.

Public Service Commission: Examination Structure

 Compulsory Subjects (600 Marks)

 Optional Subjects (600 Marks)

• Candidates must choose 3 optional papers (one from each of Groups A–G).

• Syllabus for optional subjects is available on the PPSC website.

• Minimum standard: Graduate level.

 Psychological Test & Interview (300 Marks)

 Important Examination Notes

1. Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer in the General Knowledge (MCQ) paper.

2. Qualifying Marks:

   • Minimum 40% in each paper and 50% aggregate (600 marks) to qualify for the interview.

   • Minimum 50% in the interview for the final merit listing.

3. Subject Selection: No change in optional subjects after online submission.

4. Examination Centers: No change allowed after selection.

5. Examination Phases: The exam will be conducted in phases.

2. Application Fee: Pay online via ATM, mobile/internet banking, JazzCash, Easypaisa, UPaisa, or at 1Link member bank branches.

3. Required Documents for Interview (if shortlisted):

   • Original educational certificates (marks/percentage certificates; CGPA not accepted).

   • Equivalence certificate (if qualification is foreign/local equivalent) from HEC/QEDC.

   • Registration certificate from the relevant professional body (PEC, PMDC, PMC, etc.).

   • NOC/DPC (for in-service candidates).

   • Domicile & CNIC.
