Eligibility Criteria for Fee Scholarship – Al-Kausar Trust

The Al-Kausar Trust offers fee scholarships to help deserving students with financial challenges to continue their education. To be eligible for this support, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

1. Pakistani Citizenship

• The applicant must hold Pakistani nationality and possess a valid CNIC/B-Form. This is to ensure that our support reaches individuals in our local community.

2. Demonstrated Financial Need

• Applicants must provide clear evidence of financial need. This is assessed based on household income, the number of dependents, living expenses, and any significant financial burdens.
• Required documents include:
  • Income certificates, salary slips, or affidavits for parents/guardians. The maximum monthly income should be no more than fifty thousand.
  • Statements of any other sources of family income (e.g., business revenue, pension).
  • Utility bills (electricity, gas, water) for the last three months, which help verify household expenses.

3. Educational Enrollment Status

• Applicants must be enrolled in a recognized school, college, or university within Pakistan. Proof of admission/enrollment, such as a student ID card or an admission letter, must be provided.
• For continuing students, the applicant must submit an official transcript showing their academic record.

4. Academic Performance Requirements

• Continuing Students:
  Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 (or equivalent) to qualify for the scholarship. This is to encourage academic excellence and ensure that our aid goes to students who are committed to their studies.
• First-Semester Students:
  Students who have just enrolled are exempt from the GPA requirement but must submit proof of their admission to the institution.

5. Submission of Relevant Documentation

Applicants must provide the following as mentioned in fee scholarship form:

• Identity Verification: CNIC/B-Form of the applicant and parents/guardians.
• Domicile Certificate: A document verifying the applicant’s residential status.
• Utility Bills: Electricity, gas, and water bills for the last three months, demonstrating the applicant’s current living conditions.
• Supporting Financial Documents: Documents such as pay slips, rent agreements, property ownership papers, and medical bills (if applicable) must be submitted to verify financial need. This helps the Trust ensure transparency and direct assistance to those in genuine need.

6. Commitment to Continued Education

• Applicants must express a clear commitment to completing their education. This includes adhering to any terms specified by the scholarship, such as periodic reporting of academic progress.
• Continuation of the scholarship will depend on maintaining satisfactory academic performance and meeting any other specified criteria during the support period.

7. Special Circumstances and Priority Cases

• The Trust gives preference to applicants with unique or challenging life situations, such as orphans, children of single parents, and families experiencing severe medical or financial crises.
• Documentation providing proof of these circumstances (e.g., death certificates, medical reports, etc.) must be submitted. This ensures that the scholarship reaches the most vulnerable members of society.

Additional Conditions:

• Verification: All information and documentation will be verified by AL-KAUSAR TRUST before financial assistance is provided.
• Authenticity Clause: Any falsified or misleading information provided in the application will lead to disqualification from all AL-KAUSAR TRUST programs.
• Review & Approval Process: Applications may undergo multiple levels of review, including evaluation by a committee or consultation with social experts to ensure fairness and aid prioritization.
